Free Arabic Alphabet Worksheets for Kids: How to Teach Arabic Letters at Home

Teaching your child the Arabic alphabet at home does not need a classroom or hours of practice. For little ones aged 3 to 5, ten calm minutes a day with one letter works better than a long lesson. Here is the simple routine many parents in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and around the world use, plus a free Arabic letter worksheet you can print tonight.

1. One letter at a time

The Arabic alphabet has 28 letters, and many look alike apart from their dots (like ب, ت and ث). Introduce one letter a day or even one a week. Say its name, show its shape, and connect it to a word your child already knows: Alif for Arnab (rabbit), Baa for Batta (duck).

2. Hear it before you write it

Children learn sounds first. If you are not confident with Arabic pronunciation yourself, use audio. Every page in our worksheets has a QR code: scan it with your phone camera and the letter and word are said out loud, no app needed.

3. Trace big, then small

Start with a large dotted letter traced with a crayon, then smaller letters on lines. Arabic is written right to left, so show your child where each stroke starts. Tracing builds the muscle memory that later turns into writing.

4. Make it a game

Color the picture that starts with the letter, hunt for the letter in a book, or trace it in sand. Keep it short and end while your child is still having fun.

5. Build a bedtime ritual

Many families do “one letter a night” before bed: trace, scan, giggle, sleep. A wall chart of all 28 letters helps your child see their progress.
